Erf I was almost sure you would say that. Anyway, was still worth asking for it.
Is it still possible to get the account re-activated with the regular fees?

Support Requests / Forgotten domain
May 19, 2010, 08:07:13 PM
Hi everyone,

The question might seem insane but... I used to have an account on the Plesk server, right after the suspension of the Freepgs service. username was 23411: dondavid attached to domain donangelolab.org. I used to host some files out there as a backup. Anyway it had become quite useless as the university I am currently studying provided us a similar service so I did note used the Plesk account anymore and I completely forgot its existence. To be precise it was attached to a mail account used for archiving procedures and whoose password was lost and reset about a year after. Anyway is there a chance the data hosted on that account are still on your servers or is it completely lost?

Best Regards.

This is the same for me actually.
I'm sorry guys but I got disconnected from Freepgs.com for a while now and did not kept up to date regularly.
Took a look at the avaiable plans, the point is I'd need about 5 Gb diskspace and I see the max avaible is 2Gb. Is there a possibility to have more diskspace whitout having multiple account, with an adjusted fee (fo the extra space)?

Support Requests / Re: How do I know my PHP version?
February 04, 2007, 06:52:46 PM
You can also use the PHP defined constants. For example the exact PHP version is stored in PHP_VERSION.
Here is a list of some of them which can be usefull:
- PHP_VERSION contains the version of PHP
- PHP_OS contains the name of the Operating System used on the server
- _FILE_  contains the name of the file currently used.

If you want the full list use get_defined_constants() which returns an array with the names and values of all the constants currently defined. This includes those created by extensions as well as those created with the define()  function.

Hi,

I am looking for a way to prevent user from seeing the content of my website directory. I guess I might put a .htaccess with that line in it:
Options -Indexes
but it doesn't work because all I get is a Server Internal Error and I don't understand why.

I know it would be easier to put a index.html file in each directory, but I'd prefer solve this problem.

Can anyone help me please?

I guess it may be the same for my case as I cannot access the ftp using filezilla. The most weird is that I didn't use it very much these day, as I encounter problems with my internet connection. I'll ask my friend who's been using the secondary ftp account, if he didn't waste bandwidth.

Ok, I read carefully the conditions,  seems hosting and email  were offered with a domain. But there are ads with hosting. what kind of ad is it then?

Well, seems like you're right. Still no reply from the provider. I guess I should buy a domain at LVCS.net.
Will I get mail services if I buy a domain at LVCS and remain at Freepgs for hosting?

Thanks for your help brainiac744.

Well I'm sorry i should have translate.
The first line means server's ip. This is the field I'm supposed to enter the DNS.
The second line is the website's URL (the URL it's hosted before it gets it's own domain)

I guess you pinged emesire.free.fr? Then it's normal, because the domain I'm trying to add is emesire.fr.nf. But this is a good note I should try and ping that URL to see if the problem doesn't come from the domain provider. But if i try to ping emesire.fr.nf I guess I may get the provider's ip?
I asked the provider admin for more information and I'm still waiting for an answer. I don't understand because I've had already registered 3 domains with them and I proceeded exactly the same way and had no problem.

Thanks You.

Support Requests / adding a domain
October 31, 2006, 05:53:20 PM
Hi,

I encounter a very strange problem. I'm trying to add a domain on my account. I followed the instructions given on the website. But I received a mail from Admin saying the domain cannot be added because it is not pointing on the appropriated DNS. I checked and resubmit my request again. Same answer from Admin. I'm sure I entered the appropriated DNS:
(here is a screen from the domain control panel)
Can anybody help please?

Thanks,

Angelo.

Problem Solved!!!!!!!
The correct rule is:
RewriteRule ^cours/(PHP|JS|XHTML|CSS)/(.+)\.(php|html)$ index.php?cours=$1&id=$2 [L]

Don't ask me why I don't know. (lol)

thanks to all who tried.
