Support Requests / Question on Plesk Mail
January 06, 2008, 09:48:11 AM
I've just gotten my mail enabled for the Plesk, and I've done everything in the Plesk User's Guide about how to set up your mailbox and all of that.  But when I try to log into my webmail, I keep getting this error:  Error connecting to IMAP server: [] .

Any ideas or help?  I'm a little confused on this one.  Thanks in advance.

Support Requests / Re: Question about Plesk Databases

Nevermind, I figured it out....it was my mistake, as I didn't change over somethings in the database tables themselves.  Figured it out when Plesk was up.

Support Requests / Question about Plesk Databases
January 05, 2008, 12:43:27 AM
Sorry to be a bother, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.  I've exported my database from freepgs to Plesk, it imported pretty well, and I had no issues with the tables, as they are all there.  But when I try to access the database through one of my site pages, it won't let me (for instance, it won't let me log into my forum with my username or password) :(  I set up the config file for the script to read "localhost" instead of the other mysql for the freepgs database.

Is it not localhost for Plesk?  and if it isn't what is it?  I really don't want 2 months of work down the drain :(

Thanks in advance for any help!

Thank You so much for your help, now I have another small question.  I was wondering also, when we are able to migrate over to the Plesk server, will the migration be easy enough, are we going to be able to FTP our sites over, and will we be able to transfer our databases over as well?

I'm sorry, I'm just thinking of over 2 years of work, that I don't want to lose from my SQL databases.

Thanks *HUGS*

Support Requests / Question about Site Shutting down
December 28, 2007, 03:02:28 AM
I've a question about the site shutting down.

Okay, it states that we can migrate over to the Plesk server for no charge, my question is once we migrate over will it cost us anything after that?

I own two sites with you guys, and I'd hate to have to leave completely as I can't afford fees like some places want to charge.

Thanks so much for your help.

I'm not having anymore problems now, all is working fine :D

Bleh, could have been just a little glitch, computers and anything to do with computers like to have glitches just to keep us humans on our toes I think...Bill Gates has a weird sense of humor LMBO

Support Requests / What's with the database?

I can't log into the database, although the Localhost database logs me in just fine, the MySql5 database won't.  I keep getting an error, stating that a string code is wrong   ???

Is this just a glitch and will pass or what?  Here's the error I keep getting when trying to log into a script from the admin side, although it works just fine on the user side:

QuoteThis script could not connect to MySQL and therefore has aborted.

And this is the error I get when trying to log into the database itself:

Quote#1135 - Can't create a new thread (errno 12); if you are not out of available memory, you can consult the manual for a possible OS-dependent bug

So, yeah it's a bit strange *scratches head*
