Put the comments in a div, resize the div on click.

FF might not allow coloring the hr, for some reason.

Try making a single pixel image, and stretching it. Use that as an hr.
Or make a div, and color it.

Yes, there's a topic on it here. And I know the code works, as I've used it. If you can't find the topic, I'll dig out my .htaccess

I hate using javascript to rewrite portions of a page. Could be due to the fact I don't remember how.

If each picture always displays the same text, just make a png or gif image with the same width as the picture and a bit more height. Just put the picture on top, and the text on the bottom.

If the picture and text are not always the same together, a php script could work.

No fonts on the server. If you don't want to upload you own, php does have a crappy font of its own.

If you are using a script you didn't write, some of them have an index page in the main directory that loads a template index file. I know that wordpress just includes an index.php from the directory of the defined theme. You'd need to fix that index file too.

Buy it with a new account, give the person the username/password.

If the author that made the flash didn't say that it can be freely distributed, do the author a favor and don't put it up.

paste your code that you want displayed into notepad. Use replace to change the following

< to <
> to >

Put the code on the page where you want it, and it will not be read as html.

Sites with tables aren't too bad, depending on what you want. Anything more than 4 sections is annoying.

So there's no way to control mail() on a per-user basis? Like enable it after a few months of being a member?

Why reupload all when only a few are missing?

There isn't one. It's just .htaccess. If you can't do that on your computer, put something in front of it, and rename it just .htaccess once uploaded.

My guess:

He wants to have a form on some page that submits to a php script that saves the input in a txt file.
