I think you're right. I was using an empty PayPal account when I tried out the Upgrade link - will fund it very soon. =)

Support Requests / Paying with Unverified Paypal a/c
November 14, 2006, 04:08:58 PM
I purchased my FreePgs account using the mail option, and it's kinda inconvenient for me, and I have forgotten the address to mail the payment to anyway. Recently, I tried upgrading my account in FreePgs using the PayPal option, but it only allows payment from verified accounts, and mine is not. Is it possible for me to just send the money using the PayPal's Send Money - Pay Anyone function? If necessary, I will include the transaction fee of 3.4% + 0.30 USD into the payment.

During the days when I could not access FreePgs.com, I researched on the problem. I am not trying to be biased against any network, but see what I have found:

tracert from my com to FreePgs

--- --- Which led me to research on level3.net, and i found these articles

http://www.geeknewscentral.com/archives/005001.html

http://ask.slashdot.org/askslashdot/05/10/05/2247207.shtml?tid=95&tid=187&tid=4

--- --- do you think there is a possibility that it's becoz of the level3.net issue? (i'm rushing to type all these b4 i get disconnected from freepgs again.)

EDIT:
juz a note, my fren who is using the same ISP can (strangely) access the site about the time i was tracert-ing freepgs with the log above. I tried ipconfig /flushdns etc and it still won't work.

I have been recieving this error from Firefox since few months ago, and it has been happening on average once every 4-5 days and the error is always there for hours/days. I'm sure it's not the problem of the server, since I used SiteUptime on my site here 2 weeks ago and has reported a uptime of 100% as of now. But neither is the problem of my internet connection (i can still surf the net). Other than my site, I also receive this error on FreePgs.com itself. I just need some answers regarding the causes, and possibly the solutions for this problem. Thanx.

EDIT:
By the way, is it possible to request for a change in username (both in forum and hosting account)?

How can I check how long has FreePgs.com server been up since its existence? Does it has a SiteUptime link or something?

Those specifications I asked for were NOT stated at the Plans page. I have checked it before I posted this topic. So, do you have any answers?

Just a question. I don't really own a credit card, so could I just send the money directly instead (because sending money below $500 requires no credit card verification), and where do I send the money to?

And, may I know the specifications of the plans, like:

The number of MySQL Databases that I can create.
Domains allowed to parked.
Number of e-mail addresses.
Auto-forwarding/replying of e-mails available?
Is the amount of disk space storage include MySQL DBs?
PHP Version.
MySQL Version.
Bandwidth Usage Tracker available?
phpMyAdmin available?
