Database Error Report

I use SMF and can not create new Category with the error message:
Data too long for column 'name' at row 1
File: /fpgs/fpgshttpd/nth/forum/Sources/Subs-Boards.php
Line: 1336
And My application too! The result message is similar although the length is too shor!
May be it belong database server error?

Please try this again.  We recently disabled strict mode.
