Having problems...

I'm trying to do an install of UseBB, and I'm having some problems, possibly due to the URL changes.

In short, I can upload files/directories via FTP, but they don't seem to show up when I visit my URL: http://spam.freepgs.com/

I've tried uploading via ftp.freepgs.com and spam.freepgs.com, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem.

So, the files are there, but they don't seem to be showing when I visit my site.

Any solutions?

Be sure you do not have any .htaccess directives that are redirecting you to another directory within your account.

Any directory you create in your account should be directly accessible.

There is anl .htaccess file full of Rewrite rules in the "UseBB" directory.  Verify that these are correct.

YOU WILL NEED TO MODIFY THE .HTACCESS FILE SO THAT IT DOES NOT CONTAIN OPTIONS DIRECTIVES
*****

Please comment the following line in your .htaccess file

Options -Indexes

===

If you attempt to use the Options directive in an .htaccess file, you will only receive an HTTP 500 server response.  This is not the same as a 404 response.

Please comment the "Options -Indexes" line and try again.

The rewrite rules seem to be working fine

For example:
http://spam.freepgs.com/UseBB/members-staff.html

(There is no such file, this is using the rewrite rules to work)

Most likely there is a setting in the configuration that will tell the script to use these alternate URLs vs using ?id=xxx
