Can I create a new account and point a subdomain of my domain to that account?

Lets say i have the domain http://hoorayyy.com

can i have a second account and point it to http://seconds.hoorayyy.com?
Please let me know if this is possible.
Thank you!!

As far as I know, it is technically possible, but you would have to point your domain to the FreePgs nameservers (if you aren't already doing this).

Only the admin can make such changes, so you probably need to use the contact form to formulate your request.

Yeah, but it may be easier just to get a big account and do it all on teh same account. I once had a really big discussion about this and .htaccess and stuff, maybe if you look it up You'll find an answer. I'm pressed for time but I'll post a link if I can.

To host a domain and a subdomain on the same account you don't need any .htaccess code.

However, if you want a lot of subdomains (or smart ones) or different homepages for different domains on the same account, .htaccess is the way to go.

Yes, you can have subdomains of the same domain name that point to different accounts.

When adding, do not check the "www" box and enter the domain as you would like it to resolve for that account.

ooh how cool, can I have a sub-domain that goes to a directory in my site? (I think that's a topic we've had before. . . )

Yes, you can have a maximum of 2 subdomains defined for each account (that point to different content)

I wonder if it would be worthwhile to consider either adding more free subdomain names as you get larger plans (say, two for silver, three for gold, etc.), or charge a small amount for anything over two (like two bucks for each additional subdomain).
