Support Requests / Re: Not worth the aggravation
May 11, 2014, 04:08:39 PM
I have, i believe an outdated vBulletin or phpbb installed on a subscription or two i asked to be suspended a while back (since i shut the sites down), and thus granted it's not accessible to the web, I also don't have the ability to access it to delete it ... I think i'll shoot you an email shortly about doing some general clean up on my account for all of the things I am no longer using.

Is there a way we can check to see how much resources we are using?  i doubt my usage is excessive, since my sites are targeted for a small group of people, but it would be nice to know how much we are using.

Support Requests / Apache Version - east server
November 18, 2013, 03:34:38 AM
Just out of curiosity, what is the current version of Apache installed on the east server.  My 404 pages just say "Apache Server" but the httpd is sending "nginx" in the page header.  phpinfo has led to be no help at all as well.

Is there a way for us to change the PHP for the account or individual subscription within plesk, or is this something we'd have to submit a help desk ticket for.

personally, I wouldn't need it... I have everything backed up on my cloud at home (an exact duplicate exists on my laptop, my terrabyte, and my desktop)

This is probably a dumb question, but is your DNS configured correctly on that one domain?

So there are no patches for version 10?  It seems Parallels corrected the issue in version 10.4, but Plesk 5 is running version 10.2 ... are our passwords still stored in plaintext, or did they come out with a patch/fix for version 10.2

No.  the information is supplied by the user, and the page error checks to make sure the dates are valid before submitting them to the database.

I'll poke around and see if i can find another way to validate the dates...

EDIT: i found a solution

          $mininductdate = new DateTime($initiationdate);
  $maxinductdate = new DateTime($initiationdate);
  $checkinductdate = new DateTime($inductiondate);
  $mininductdate->modify('+26 days');
  $maxinductdate->modify('+35 days');
  if($mininductdate > $checkinductdate || $checkinductdate > $maxinductdate)
  {
    printf('Submission failed: The Induction Date is not within 7 days of 30 days after Initiation date.<br>');
$indfail=1;
  }

This works correctly.

Support Requests / php 5.3.0
February 05, 2012, 06:56:30 PM
Any plans to upgrade plesk5 from php 5.2.17 to 5.3 ? .. I'd like to be able to use the datetime date_add() function if possible.

what im doing is
$mininductdate = new DateTime($initiationdate);
 $maxinductdate = new DateTime($initiationdate);
 $mininductdate->add(new DateInterval('P26D'));
 $maxinductdate->add(new DateInterval('P35D'));
 if($mininductdate < $inductiondate || $inductiondate > $maxinductdate)
 {
   printf('Submission failed: The Induction Date is not within 7 days of 30 days after Initiation date.<br>');
$indfail=1;
 }

The user provides the Initiation Date and Induction date.  The script checks to see if the induction date is 26 days to 35 days after the initiation date.

Support Requests / Re: SSL Sites
December 11, 2011, 03:19:33 AM
wait... we have an option to get a dedicated ip and ssl certs that don't come up as plesk#.lvcs.net, causing browsers to get mad?

I haven't really set anything up that needs ssl, though i have a couple domains that have a couple pages in the httpsdocs directory.

This is nice to know for the future, and well worth the $12 a year

I have 4 acc. on freepgs.. Till the fire, I got quite a lot bandwidth use but since all the user uploaded files were gone and wasn't possible to backup all, I stopped my site and now it is in the idle mode.. Other 2 were for some projects which I could never completed, so they are in the idle mode too.. (I have paid $3 per acc. for 4-5 years not to lose them) The last one is in use and have 5% of BW & Disk used monthly..
So.. If it is 10, 3x10=$30 will be much for me for idle sites.. I don't want to lose them though.. OK, $3 is low but $10 is much.. So, let the fee rely on BW used and I pay for what I use and don't pay same for which I don't use..
If you combine all your accounts in to one account, you'd only have to pay the fee once...

If Plesk5 was "up"graded back to plesk 9.x that would be pretty sweet... =P

I have updated the permissions of this domain, you should at least see the FTP icon on the Websites & Domains tab for this domain.
yep on that one domain i now have access, thank you... as of now i should be good with FTP on all the other domains as well i have no plans for anymore "web user" accounts in the future.  So i should be good for the time being...

i dont seem to have any of those options

i also noticed that my newer (created within the last 2 years) domains now have a site builder tab, while the older domains (such as this one) do not..
