Support Requests / Re: htaccess problems
February 09, 2006, 02:56:02 AM
I haven't testest this, therefore I don't know if it works.
I changed all the www\.  to   *\.  which is a wildcard, therefore
your not limiting it to the www. subdomain

Also, I changed your endings from: /(/)?.*$
To: /.*$

Not sure if it makes a dif, but thats how I have always done it and I diden't understand your method!

Please post and let me know if this works!

Also, If you you notice, I changed it where when someone attempts to remote access your image it displays a nice "Prohibited" image instead... LOL... I love
doing that, It really pisses them off, ROTF...

Support Requests / Re: subdomain and .htaccess
February 03, 2006, 05:37:46 AM
Not sure if this can be done via htaccess... but i'm not a expert on apache or htaccess...

I do know we can set up (Two) 2 subdomains on your account if you want that to be pointed to /blog

Let me make my self more clear.. phpmail (Connection could not be established) goes down, then mysql (Too many connections) goes down, followed by a timeout all together on freepgs.com websites..

Support Requests / On and off Downtime
January 29, 2006, 07:21:30 PM
Admin,
We have been encountering downtime on the FreePgs HTTPD on and off all day spaceing out about 1hr and 3mins each downtime interval.

Thedown time last around 25-65 mins each interval..
It starts out by the mysql and email servers going down, and maxing out the connections then the HTTPD goes down..
I'm suspected someones account is either getting slammed or where being DoSed...

Gordon

You "CAN NOT" and "SHOULD NOT" point to our name servers using the .co.nr services..
.co.nr is using a type of system called "Cloaking", they simply place your site in a frame, or redirect you to the site...

If you require a shorter domain address without paying for a "Real" .com/.net ect I personally recomend: http://www.changeip.com

They have a large list of sub-domains to chose from, plus they allow you to edit the DNS so you can then point your domain directly to our nameservers!

If you need any further help regarding this issue please us the contact forum located here: http://system.freepgs.com/contact.php

After searching "Image" in php.nets database, I found this feature that may be more useful than my last post:
http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.image-type-to-extension.php

This is a list of all php Image/GD features, you can go through them your self also, perhaps theres another method that is
best for your site, for example resize the image instead of blocking it all together!
http://us2.php.net/gd

Also, I recomend reading the user comments, they are VERY Useful!

Not sure if this is the best option out there, but you could use "mime_content_type".
It would return, for example me.gif would return image/gif

For more info go to: http://us3.php.net/manual/en/function.mime-content-type.php

Support Requests / Re: vSignup and emails
January 16, 2006, 05:04:30 PM
The is no problem with V-Signup, Infact before I started coding my own gateways I used it, its a very nice script.
It sounds to me like its a mail server problem, so which service are you using?
FreePgs.com, Plesk, Or Lvcs.net?

If your using Plesk, The server may be slow, if your using FreePgs.com the server should be fast..

If you need any further support on this issue please use the contact forum and one of our friendly support
agents will assist you further, please remember to login before sending your request!

Support Requests / Re: FTP at PLESK/LVCS down?
January 12, 2006, 02:06:18 AM
I'm not sorry about plesk ;)... I'm sorry about the downtime, it stinks having to wait on one of us old farts
to reboot the server so you can work on your site... LOL...

The best way to solve this is to move to our freepgs.com server, I haven't had to reboot that server
yet... plus our software is easy, fun, and well, secure and not so buggie ;)

We have rebooted the server and the FTP issue has been resolved, I'm sorry about the short downtime with HTTP and FTP services!

To be honest, I have never heard of such a feature in php, other than editing the php config file, which is not a option for our users.
so i'm quite intrested to see if there is such a feature..

If you place the .htaccess file in your root directory it will effect the entire sub folders.
if you place it in /root/example then it will effect only example and the sub folders under it.

So if you palce your htaccess file in your root you will be able to use tpl files in any folder on your site..
#59
Yes, you can place in in your root dir, and yes, all thats required to phase your TPL files to php is that one line.
Keep in mind all .TPL files will be phased for php, even if there just html..

Support Requests / Re: 2 site don't work
January 09, 2006, 09:50:36 PM
Its just a system reboot from what I understand.
Also the way we have designed our services the services should never be down for more than 25 mins,
we have something inplace to reboot the server in the event such a downtime should happen
