The Plesk server is in the process of being reprovisioned.  The new server has not yet been setup.

Unfortunately, the provider is requiring us to wipe the system clean due to some "attacks" that were being carried out by the server.

This means all data will be lost.  I have some users files backed up to the FreePgs server at this time.  When they get the account operational again, I will attempt to backup additional data if I can.

Thank you,

Support Requests / Plesk for Mail
April 02, 2006, 08:00:44 PM
Users that used the Plesk server only for mail can request a mail account to be added to the LVCS.NET mail system by using the Contact Form.

Please include the following information for each account you would like to add.  We will also need to change your DNS records if the domain is pointed to our nameservers to point to the proper mail server.

Please provide this information for each mail account you would like to add:

Username:
Password:
Domain:
Make Catchall Account?:
Enable Spam Filter?:

Please note:
If you have registered your domain via LVCS.NET, you must manage your email accounts via http://www.lvcs.net/login.php
Click "Email Account List" in the "Hosting & Email" section.  To setup accounts that are part of your domain registration, please click the "Manage Free Accounts" button at the top of the email account list.

Once this is done, please use the Contact Form so we can update your MX records to point to that mail system.

Thank you,

Support Requests / New Plesk Server !!PLEASE READ!!
January 17, 2006, 04:18:03 AM
If your site is pointed to the Plesk server and you have your domain pointed to us via DNS Records (i.e. you are not pointing to our nameservers), you will need to modify your DNS records to point to the new Plesk server IP address.

All accounts will be removed from the old Plesk server within the next few days.  Be sure your domain is pointed to the new server as soon as possible.

New IP Address:  68.178.168.59

Support Requests / FreePgs system restart scheduled
January 12, 2006, 06:28:41 PM
The FreePgs server is currently being restarted as we are reverting to an older kernel build.

The server will be unavailable for 15 minutes.

In other news, we are migrating Plesk accounts from one server to another.  (This is mentioned in the "News" box at the top of this page)

Support Requests / IP/DNS Settings
November 10, 2005, 10:42:49 PM
If your domain was added to our Plesk server during the downtime, be sure your domain is pointed to these nameservers:

PLSK1.LVCS.NET
PLSK2.LVCS.NET

Or, if you have simply pointed to our IP address using DNS records, please be sure you are using this IP address:

216.69.169.20

If your domain is housed directly on the FreePgs server, please use the following nameservers:  [This information is used for all clients that add their domain directly to this system.  The only exception is if you login using Plesk at https://plesk.lvcs.net:8443/]

NS1.LVCS.NET
NS2.LVCS.NET
NS01.BACKUPDNS.COM

Or, if you have simply pointed to our IP address, you would continue to point to this address:

64.193.110.132

---
Please note, if you wish to host your domain directly on the FreePgs service using our nameservers, you must resubmit the domain via the "Setup Domains" section of the Options panel so we can add it back to our nameservers.

If you wish to migrate from the Plesk service back to the FreePgs service, please use the Contact Form for further instructions.

Support Requests / DNS Settings
October 15, 2005, 07:50:29 AM
Do not modify your DNS settings within the Plesk panel unless you need to do so for a specific purpose and you know how to modify these settings.

For example, do not click the button that says "Switch", as this will switch your zone from Master to Slave.  It will not allow you to change the nameservers for your domain.  You must change your domain's nameservers via your registrar.  If you click this option and your domain is pointed to our nameservers, it will stop resolving. If this occurs, you will need to click the option again.

If you need to disable your zone file (ONLY because you are pointing to our IP using DNS records), you can click the on/off button.
