Oh rats. All of the messages that you folks had sent since last September about this to my account had been shunted into the spam folder by google mail. So, I missed the whole thing and my site is gone.

Ah well, not your fault.

$10 sounds like it's still a deal to me.

Support Requests / Loading RSS feed in php script
December 21, 2007, 06:03:54 PM
I've just started trying to display the results of a rss feed on my site. My page works on my development machine, but not of freepgs.

My page with the problem is at:

http://vrteach.freepgs.com/banjo/index.php?folkjam=

as you will see there is a "connection failed" problem.

There was a previous message about this at:

http://forum.freepgs.com/index.php?topic=1348.0

Is the problem with the magpierss script, or a setting on freepgs?

Thanks, Erich

Thanks. I had missed the note that the member services page was discontinued. I really appreciate the work you do for this free service.

I'm also getting the "account suspended" message. I expect that if there are two of us, this is a general problem that is part of rebuilding the server.

I'm still getting an "account suspended" message when I try to visit member services. All other parts of my account appear to be working.

I think I've answered my own question. It looks as though my code did not include the necessary javascript in all instances of calls to my page. That is, the javascript was only included in the default version, not when there were modifyers to the url.

So, it was my own fault.

I've used PowerPHLogger for some time and like it very much. I would like it to count all instances of calls to my main index page. It counts when visitors got to index.php, but not when they go to index.php?SomeID=27, for example. I currently have the list of main index pages looking like this:

http://vrteach.freepgs.com/banjo/index.php
http://vrteach.freepgs.com/banjo/
http://vrteach.freepgs.com/banjo/index.php*

But I'm guessing that that last line doesn't work as I hoped it would.

Thank you, also. My plan is "silver" and I was going to ask the same question but looked around first. I wonder if this could be added to the FAQ?

I sure want to thank you folks for this service, it's been mighty good for me. I hope that whatever headaches you get from the abuse are as small and temporary as possible.
