It might be better to ask help from the Help Desk link at your Plesk Panel Account, the Help Desk link is located at the menu at the bottom part.

Thanks thats what I did  ;) They said after I create a new domain to let them know & they will change it for my files

You will not have problem if you change your domain, just redirect your old domain to the new one. But the only problem is if you have placed your old domain link on your pages of your site, life for example <a href="http://www.olddoman.com">Home</a> instead of <a href="index.html">Home</a> for changing domain...
Well, I'm using SMF for my forum & looking @ all pages they look like this http://olddomain.com/index.php/topic,2267.0.html
I never "made pages, whatever SMF made for the forum links is what I have.

When I go into Plesk Control Panel I see my old domain, Now I do not see an option to actually edit my domain (if I could) & replace it with the new domain.
I see that I can delete it & create a new Domain. So if this is the case the files in the old domain will be deleted ... So what do I do with my SMF files & the database? I don't feel like its as simple as you suggested. I do not want to lose my forum.

Thanks for your help! ;D

I think this topic may help you:
http://forum.freepgs.com/index.php?topic=1859.msg9308#msg9308

Just change your nameserver on the specified topic in which plesk server you are hosted.

Oh no, But thanks, Maybe I need to make myself clearer. I know that part.. but I mean the whole thing about my site... Will I lose things? do I have to make backups & transfers etc... Once changed, how can I redirect users to the new domain name...Do I have to do anything with my files through ftp? Stuff like that... I have a Forum that has active members.

Support Requests / Changing Domain Name
January 22, 2010, 11:12:39 PM
Hello all,

For some time I've been wanting to change my Domain name that I have with Yahoo Business.
I have a site here & was wondering how do I go about doing this ?
I was planning on using GoDaddy.
The server is https://plesk3.lvcs.net
Can someone explain in detail what I need to do.

Thanks!! ;D
