Title: Shoutcast
Post by: Daniel on April 25, 2006, 09:42:44 PM
I am debating setting up my own Shoutcast radio server, and a website for the radio station.

Is it possible (and is it allowed) to set up Shoutcast on FreePgs, so instead of my personal PC being the host, it can run off my FreePgs account, with all the data to be streamed from inside a folder called, say "shoutcast_playlist"??

Do you think I would easily max out my bandwidth if I did this?

You can't setup a shoutcast server on your freepgs account as of this time.
It would max your b-width out by a few hours of broadcasting any way.

Shoutcast is fun, but besure your following all the laws ;)

I was going to host talkshows, not music.

You can host downloadable talkshows, but you can't stream it off the server like you would  from your home computer.
