Support Requests / Re: Image Magick
May 21, 2007, 10:44:49 PM
I'm fairly certain that imagemagick has NOT been installed on this server (it used to be before it burned down), but I'm not 100% sure on that.

And in response to looie, you indeed cannot install imagemagick on the server unless you have access to the server directly or via a ssh account or similar. It's an actual program that runs on the server.

Use the contact form to request that the MX records be added to your domain if you're using freepgs nameservers. If you're not, then you should use your domain registrar's site (the company you registered your domain with).

Because the FTP/server user and the PHP user are two seperate things on this system. The permissions aren't "different" it's just that the there are two seperate users, so the owner of the files is the first bit, then the group is the second, and world is the last, so if it was just 700, only the owner of the file would have permission to access it, and if the owner was php, ftp wouldn't be able to see it and vice versa (sp?). Anyway, PHP and FTP are in the same user group. Hopefully I haven't mangled that explanation too badly.

Support Requests / Re: Problem with phpBB

mail() was disabled probably a few months ago. There was an announcement on the home page and in the forums. Sorry I don't know too much about phpBB though, can't help you with your other problem.

Log into your account (from system.freepgs.com) and then use the contact form to request that mail() be enabled on your account.

I'd say the main reason is because that looks like an ASP file, and this server doesn't support ASP. You'd need an ajax script that runs using PHP.

Try just putting in / for the directory
#54
You might try using the password protected directory utility in the options panel then, perhaps you'll have more success with that (even though I'm fairly certain it's just going to write an htaccess and htpasswd file)

I'm pretty sure the proper path is /fpgs/fpgshttpd/YOURUSERNAME
#56
When I visit that URL I'm just getting a "No new mail" error...

Is there a different error showing up in the logs?
#57
Do you get a 404 error then?

Notice that rule is only going to rewrite .htm files to .php files, not .html ones, so be sure that you're trying a filename that will be rewritten.

Otherwise you'll have to wait for somebody who knows a bit more about mod_rewrite than me, because I don't see an error in that code.
#58
When you say that it doesn't work at all, are you getting a 500 internal server error when that is in the .htaccess, or is there another problem?

mail() has to be enabled on a per-account basis, as it is disabled by default. If it was disabled because of spam they SHOULD have notified you.

That's very odd, because usually admin logs on at least once a day. You might try sending another one and specifically stating that you'd like admin to respond to it (or inquiring as to EXACTLY why a "don't reenable" note has been placed on your account)
