That fixed the problem.

One final question.  Is there a way to pickup the mail on outlook yet still have it on the webmail server?

Ok, I verfied my settings on PLESK and I have control access enabled.  Also, when I use the webmail icon I either get a "Page Not Found" error or I get a PLESK Default Page.

Ideas? ???

Hmmm, ok.

I initially thought that a SMTP serever was also provided.

However I'm still wondering about web access because webmail.tommystery.com just gives me a default PLESK page.  And I do have webmail enabled on PLESK.

P.S. At the end of all this I'll probably write a tutorial on how to setup mail to answer the questions I've encountered.

ok I tried changing it to webmail.tommystery.com and it seems to work now, although it takes about 30 seconds to send a test mail.  Is this normal?

I still haven't figured out webmail access though...

Ok, I can pickup my mail by using mail.tommystery.com as my incoming pop3.  What is the outgoing server? because I get timed out on mail.tommystery.com.

Also is it possible to pickup mail via the web?

Does webmail work? or is it a non-working PLESK feature?

I enabled webmail on one of my accounts, but I get the default PLESK page whenever I type in http://webmail.tommystery.com

Ok, I just tried doing site preview again and it now works.

But my site still isn't up.

BTW, according to the WHOIS record: http://www.whois.net/whois.cgi2?d=tommystery.com
my nameservers are correct.

Also, it might be interesting to know that when I do a nslookup I get a "No response from server" or "Server failed" message.  I tested it with google to make sure that it wasn't a problem with my router or firewall and it works fine with listing the ip addies.

I also want to add that I'm getting the correct IP of 68.178.206.47 when I do a traceroute.

Ideas?  ???

And yes I have tried refreshing the page  ;)

Hmm... my site still isn't up.

I registered the domain on June 2nd, and modified the Nameserver Records on the same day.  The site was also working without any problems yesterday.

I've gone over the DNS Records on PLESK and everything seems to be fine.

It also seems like when I try to use the 'site preview' function for my html files my site doesn't show up either.

Any other ideas?

Rob.

Support Requests / Still Having Problems...

Ok, I transferred my domain to LVCS.net and ever since then I have been having problems.

I changed my nameserver records to plsk1.lvcs.net and plsk2.lvcs.net a few days ago and my domain worked until this morning.  Now whenever I try to access my page I get a "Page Not Found" error.

I don't believe that the server is down at the moment.

So could the admin *please* take a look at my settings on Plesk?

Thankyou,
- Robert Panasiuk

Support Requests / Plesk Nameserver Question
June 03, 2006, 04:11:54 AM
Alright, are the proper nameservers for plesk:

plesk1.lvcs.net
plesk2.lvcs.net

or

ns1.lvcs.net
ns2.lvcs.net

?

Thanks,
Rob.
