Yesterday I moved my site from freepgs to plesk. I have a domain registered at lvcs.net.
So I went to lcvs control panel and entered plsk1.lcvs.net and plsk2.lcvs.net as custom nameservers.
Now, what I have is that the url www.mydomain.com points to the new plesk website, but the url mydomain.com still points to the freepgs website. Before the migration, both urls were pointing to the same freepgs site.
Maybe it depends on the fact that when I created a "New Domain" on plesk control panel, I didn't uncheck the "www" flag?
Or could it be just a matter of time before all urls are being updated?
Cheers
Edit: i noticed now that also ftp.mydomain.com is still pointing to freepgs ftp.
Now it's all ok. All urls pointing at the new plesk hosting.
It was just a matter of time to wait until all url were updated.
I thought that dns were updated all at the same time, but clearly it's not so.
This just has to do with the DNS cache at your ISP. The DNS updates at the same time, but your cache expires at different times depending on when it was last requested.
Thank you,
