Support Requests / Service Discontinuation
Last post by admin - April 28, 2017, 05:02:04 PM
Unfortunately, due to the number of users that have failed to keep their scripts up to date and/or their credentials secure, we are forced to start shutting down this service.  We can continue all cPanel operations as there are more safeguards in place, however, users will still need to keep their scripts updated.

The name service had stopped due to an invalid DNS record Plesk allowed a user to create.

Yes, you really need to migrate to one of our new systems.  Please email plesk at lvcs dot net.

You will want to ping the following servers and determine which one is closest to you.  If you were on the closest server, the new replacement is la2.lvcs.net.

Here are all of the available servers:

eu2.lvcs.net
la2.lvcs.net
nyc.lvcs.net

So what (if anything) do I do if my stuff is on west? Do I need to sign up somewhere or something?

Asking because chrome tells me that the SSL certificate on https://west.lvcs.net:8443 is now 200+ days past expiry.

And the nameservice on west appears not to be running right now:

sven@ ~
$  nslookup NS1.WEST.LVCS.NET 8.8.8.8

(I paid for 3 years last time, so I don't get payment emails,
so I might have missed some information somewhere. Probably my fault.
Sorry in advance if that's the case.)

Support Requests / Re: Wierd Redirect
Last post by admin - February 04, 2017, 06:09:41 AM
This was due to SSL not being setup in cPanel for this domain correctly.  The AutoSSL process was forced which seemed to have enabled the SSL properly for this sub domain in the panel itself.

Support Requests / Wierd Redirect
Last post by Scorpion Illuminati - February 04, 2017, 12:03:12 AM
I have a subdomain https://ignition*scorpionilluminati.tk/ being redirected to a page called Shair & Nature. Whats weird is it is currently setup to point to a folder called "ignition" inside my home folder and not another web page. The contents of that folder is a single file:

<?php

echo "Test";

?>

You have permission to verify that yourselves.I also verified my dns setting are correct. link to test results are correct and in working order. Could you please check into this?

Sincerely,

Scorpion Illuminati

Support Requests / Forced Upgrade of Plesk Server...
Last post by admin - January 21, 2017, 02:16:44 AM
Since Plesk has discontinued Plesk updates on version 11.5 and 12.0, we will be forced to update these to at least version 12.5 or to the new Onyx release.

We will have to move a bit faster on migrating away from Plesk if these upgrades do not appear to be successful.

Support Requests / All Plesk Servers being Phased...
Last post by admin - December 27, 2016, 01:15:59 PM
We are in the process of phasing out all Plesk servers.

If you are on a Plesk server, we have been sending information about migration to you in reply to your payment.

The following Plesk servers will be decommissioned at some point in 2017:

east.lvcs.net
west.lvcs.net

The following non-Plesk servers will be decommissioned in 2017:
west1.lvcs.net

Benefits of the new cPanel servers:
-Centralized billing, support, and account management at https://hosting.lvcs.net/
-Nameserver cluster for improved reliability of name resolution for your domains
-Limits to prevent one site from slowing down the entire server
-Newer versions of PHP, MySQL, and Apache to offer your site better performance
-All solid state storage for faster disk access times.

The following Plesk servers are not planned for decommission this year but you still may see improved performance by switching to our new cPanel servers.  If enough people migrate we will shut these down as well:
eu.lvcs.net
lax2.lvcs.net

There will be no change in renewal rate or your expiration date when you switch to our new system.  in most cases, files and databases can be brought over.

Support Requests / Re: East and West Server will ...
Last post by admin - December 11, 2016, 10:32:16 PM
All of the Plesk servers will eventually be shut down.  We will migrate you to one of the cPanel servers.  We have cPanel servers in all of the regions that we have Plesk servers.

We are trying to migrate away from the West server first, but during the renewals we have been announcing the availability of the new cPanel servers.  Some users are pointed to servers that are not the closest choice, so this would be a good time to check the best server for their needs.

All of our cPanel servers use the same DNS settings (cluster) and will use the WHMCS interface for billing and support.  We are able to provide better support and customers will enjoy the single point of entry when asking about their due dates and payments.

These servers are not being shut down in the very near future, but the more we migrate now, the easier it will be.  East is starting to have hardware problems and West is really old and outdated.  You will be able to have an account split between two servers as you do now.  You will manage them in a single place https://hosting.lvcs.net/ and you will point your domains to a single set of nameservers (CP1.LVCS.NET, CP2.LVCS.NET) after the migration.

If you wish to migrate, please contact plesk at lvcs dot net.
